Ryan Gosling couldn't control his laughter during these SNL skits last night

In one of Saturday Night Live's most popular sketches, Ryan Gosling, Kate McKinnon, and Cecily Strong each portray victims of alien abduction. Lucky for us, Cameron is busy conjuring up four more Avatar movies in the pipeline that will surely keep Papyrus in heavy rotation.

Gosling was nominated for an Oscar for his performance as jazz musician Sebastian in Damien Chazelle's acclaimed musical La La Land.

Ryan Gosling returned to Studio 8H ahead of Blade Runner 2049's release, but did more to promote his role in La La Land, a movie that came out almost a year ago. Ryan Gosling starred in the fake commercial for style-neutral, gender non-conforming denim for a generation that defies labels.

The sketch began innocently enough, with Gosling and Cecily Strong's characters describing their pleasant, mind-bending experience being abducted by "glowing beings made of handsome light" and seeing their entire lives flash before their eyes. The president of the United States repeatedly lambasted the show, and its depictions of administration officials entered the mainstream political conversation (quite the turnaround from 2015, when SNL faced criticism for having Trump host). Gosling featured in some weird sketches, including romancing a chicken, overreacting to a restaurant menu switch, playing a flute player in a bar and a man obsessed with the font on the "Avatar" poster. They just started production, and the four films will reportedly cost $1 billion to make.

Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell, who wrote the first "Close Encounter" sketch, told Vulture that they knew right away that Gosling would struggle to hold it together. You just did this for white people twice.
