Tom Brady returns to Patriots practice

When the news broke that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had missed practice on Tuesday, obvious concern began to spread about his status for the game this coming Sunday. He missed practice last week for non-injury reasons but hasn't otherwise been on the injury report this season.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Brady suffered an AC joint sprain in his non-throwing shoulder during a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday.

Through the first five games of the season, Brady has been hit repeatedly.

Aside from when Brady missed almost the entire 2008 season due to an ACL and MCL tear in Week 1 against the Chiefs, he has been remarkably durable.

"I'm good. I'm not anxious about it", he said when he was asked about his injured left shoulder.

According to National Football League stats, Brady has been sacked 16 times so far this season and hit 33 times.
